Emergency Oxygen

Every day thousands of people are injured in the workplace and each year many of these people die from shock as a result of injury. Shock, simply stated, is the oxygen starvation of the brain.

Normally, our lungs absorb 5% to 7% of the available oxygen in the air. Administering emergency oxygen increases the oxygen concentration in the lungs allowing more oxygen to be absorbed. In emergency situations, increasing the oxygen concentration helps prevent brain damage, stabilizes the heart and other vital organs, and can even save a life.

Life Support Systems provides and maintains Emergency Oxygen Inhalators that are engineered to provide 6 liters of oxygen per minute (6 L/min) for over 60 minutes. This is the recommended flow for lay use in emergency situations.

Life Support Systems Emergency Oxygen Program:

  • Equipment Includes: Cylinder, Regulator, Masks/Tubing, Carrying Case and State & Federal labeling

  • Emergency Oxygen Inhalator Inspection and Ongoing Maintenance

  • Emergency Service and Parts Replacement after each use
